About

A low-production studio

I am a full-time teacher, also an activist and family/community member as well as being a maker; ceramics, writing and crafting fit around the edges. Edges are magical. Our edges drift from our routines and norms of moving, thinking, feeling; in these places, possibilities open. Patterns wander and collide. The magic lives in the work.

If the work you want is not available in the shop, you are welcome to contact me to get on my waiting list. I will also post announcements about new work on my bluesky page.

Our Story

I got hooked on clay at a staff team-building workshop in early 2019. I took an extension class at CCA Oakland Campus (RIP) which got shut down by COVID. My family pooled to get me a tabletop wheel, and the rest is history:)

Special thanks to Lara Gabato for making the workshop happen, the staff at Clay People for their expert firing, and my partner for encouraging me and joining hand building parties. They’ll contribute pieces here on occasion too.

I’ve taken a few commissions here and there, but was spurred to start an online shop when my aikido senseis invited me to create a collection of mugs for dojo members. I was also inspired by the Potters for Palestine movement to use my art for fundraising. Through a mutual aid network, I connected with Dalia and her family in Gaza. They face the daily struggle of displacement, needing essentials only available at inflated prices—food, clothing, bedding, shelter, and medical care, while dreaming to find a path out of Gaza and build a life of peace and safety.

Every piece in my shop marked with the Palestinian flag is a direct lifeline to Dalia’s family, with 100% of proceeds going straight to them.
